A minimum number of 35 persons are required for all above mentioned private tours. The Professional Congress Organiser (PCO) reserves the right to cancel the tour and refund the participants if the minimum number is not reached.

• Written cancellations received prior to the 11th May 2009 will receive full refund minus 30 € administrative fee.

Description of Social Events
Karouzanos Traditional Village
KAROUZANOS is a unique, charming picturesque village near Heraklion. Its cobbled streets and houses with tiled roofs and terraces, all part of the typical Cretan architecture, showcase the Crete of the past to visitors.
We will visit a traditional house and the museum, where furniture, old traditional tools and utensils will give us an idea of the traditional everyday life in Crete. In the coffeehouse, we will experience the traditional way of making Greek coffee in hot cinder, while in the traditional cellar we will taste several types of Cretan wine and see the procedure of distillation of the "raki", the local spirit. 
The shop of Κarouzanos is full of beautiful traditional items, evoking the past, all offered at affordable prices.
In the local tavern, we will taste the traditional Cretan cooking and bread accompanied by the local wine. We will enjoy the folk night, while dancers perform dances from Crete and mainland of Greece.
Price/person: 75 €* * Price includes transportation, escort, entrance fees, dinner with folklore show, unlimited consumption of local house wine, water and refreshments.
Description Of Post-Conference Events
Samaria Gorge - Aghia Roumeli - Sfakia
Day 1
Departure at 05.00 hrs. We know that early mornings are not one's favourite on holiday but we highly recommend that you have the experience of walking the famous and beautiful Samaria Gorge, the longest in Europe.
We will drive along the coast on the west side of Crete until we reach the Plateau of Omalos and the entrance of the gorge at Xiloskalo. Short stop for coffee (08.00 hrs). You will need sport shoes to walk the gorge with its breathtaking and memorable views. The walk will take 5 hours until we reach the south coast of Crete, a small fishing village called Aghia Roumeli.
Late lunch (15.00 hrs) at a local restaurant.
Dinner and overnight stay in Aghia Roumeli or Chora Sfakion.
Day 2
In the morning a workshop will take place. Later, we will take the boat to Sfakia in the southwest of Crete, the famous and most authentic region of Crete. Here you can find the last pieces of the old Cretan culture and nature. Time for lunch and swimming.
Return to the Conference Centre.
Viannos - Chrissi island (Gaidouronissi)
Day 1
Early departure to Viannos. Viannos is built amphitheatrically on the sides of the mountains in the ruins of the eponymous city, which greatly flourished in the antiquity and later in the years of the Venetian dominion. During the German occupation, in World War II, a lot of villages in the region were burned as reprisals to acts of resistance.
We will visit the Viannos Health Center, where during the 2-hour workshop, the doctors of the Health Center will present the 20-year contribution of the Viannos Health Center in the public health in this secluded Municipality of Crete.
A meeting with the Mayor of Viannos and members of the city council, as well as with members of local associations will follow. Short tour of the village and lunch at a local restaurant.
Dinner and overnight stay in Ierapetra.
Day 2
Next morning, from the most southern city of Europe, Ierapetra, we will take the boat to the golden island "Chrissi island". On the north coast of the island we will find beautiful beaches with a lot of tiny little shells and a wonderful beach with white sand. Lunch. Return to Ierapetra's port and departure for the Conference Center.
Platanias - Gramvousa
Day 1
Departure at noon in direction to Chania, the second largest town in Crete and one of the most beautiful towns in Greece, to reach the village of Platanias, where refreshments will be served upon arrival.
We will visit the private health center "Primary Health Care Center", where presentations on the significance of the General Doctor and the private Center of Primary Health Care in the region will follow.
Dinner and overnight stay in Platanias, Kolymbari or Chania.
Day 2
We will depart from the port of Kissamos (Kasteli) and take the boat to start our cruise: crossing the bay of Kissamos, we will sail round Agria Gramvousa and the Vouxa cape. Arrival at the Gramvousa island. Disembarkation. Visit to the Venetian Castle and free time for swimming in Balos.
Lunch.
We will pass through Rethimnon with its beautiful harbour, historic buildings and the old town and continue to the Conference Centre.
